Manju Lulla - Executive Director

 

 

Manju Lulla

Manju Lulla is an Executive Director of Eros International and in addition is the co-founder of The Eros foundation.

 

Manju has over 30 years media experience and has been instrumental in driving the international expansion of Eros international into a global media business that operates in over 50 countries worldwide.

 

In addition, Manju has spent years tirelessly working for numerous charities including Habitat for Humanity. In 2009, Manju in conjunction with Kishore and the entire Lulla family established the non for profit, The Eros Foundation whose aim is to support poor communities across India to help them prepare for a better tomorrow.

The Eros Foundation’s aims are to provide a high quality learning and teaching support for targeted communities currently caught in cycles of poverty so that they can have real opportunities to change their personal futures and their communities.

 

Current plans for delivering these aims are to support projects which cater for the poorest children and communities. Plans are being developed for:
• Setting up educational facilities for students between 2 and 16
• Working closely with parents to help them take an active interest in their children's education
• Working with school management committee's to enable them to monitor the work of the school
• Basic medical care for the community

Manju has a BSc (Hons) degree from the University of Mumbai in Home Science

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kishore Lulla - Trustee

 

Kishore Lulla

 

Kishore Lulla, Chairman and CEO of Eros International has been one of the principal driving forces behind Eros International Plc, the global integrated media and entertainment company and has aken the company to new heights. Born in Mumbai, India, Kishore graduated in Arts from KC College and went on to secure a law degree from the Government Law College in Mumbai

 

Before he joined his father in the Eros Company and built the company to the vast proportions that it has now acquired. Kishore Lulla is a member of the British Association Film and Television Awards and Young Presidents’ Organization and on the board of UCLA. He has been honoured at the Asian Business Awards 2007 and the prestigious Indian Film Academy Awards 2007 for his contribution in taking Indian cinema global. He was given further recognition for his efforts when Eros was given the Honorary Award for its contribution to Indian Cinema by the popular International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) in June 2007. Kishore was also honoured at the India Splendor Awards 2007 in Los Angeles for his contribution in popularizing the Indian Film Industry on the global platform. Under his driving leadership, Eros was awarded the Amity Award for Global Corporate Excellence 2007 for achieving recognition as one of the most admired business organizations.  

 

 

 

 

 

Kaushi Silva - Director of Education

 

Kaushi Silva 

Kaushi Silva is our education expert with more than twenty years’ experience in the United Kingdom, including fifteen years as Principal of three large schools in London. In 2003, Kaushi was named one of six leading Principals in the UK and selected for the Department for Education and Skills “Learning from Success” programme.

In 2004, Kaushi won the National College of School Leadership’s Practitioner Research award for her research on Headteachers’ Values. Since then Kaushi has worked as a School Improvement Advisor and Inspector in the UK and overseas. Most recently her work has taken her to the Emirates, Thailand, Qatar, Egypt and India where she has been involved in carrying out school inspections, training senior staff and advising on school improvement initiatives.

Since 1999 Kaushi has been a Trustee of a British NGO supporting an orphanage and school in Chennai as well setting up an NIOS school. In addition, since 2004, Kaushi has been involved in evaluating the impact of several NGO projects across Karnataka, Gujarat, UP and Delhi.
